My most reread comic, Squeak the Mouse by Massimo Mattioli.. Mattioil was a towering figure in Italian comics, contributing deeply weird, transgressive and groundbreaking work to the infamous alternative magazine Frigidaire while also producing 40 years of Pinky , a comic which remained defiantly experimental while still aimed squarely at young. The concept of satirizing children's media into a more adult setting isn't anything new, but I struggle to think of someone doing it nearly as brazenly as Mattioli did with his Squeak the Mouse.
